With very limited showing in Rally, Noodle finished the qualifying period as the #3 RACH Weimaraner in the country, and received an invite to the AKC RACH Invitational, to be held in December in Orlando, Florida! Noodle says "Florida in December? Sign me up!"

ATW had a great month of August. Dolphin picked up a bunch of agility Q's and wins. He also hit the show ring a couple times (sorry boy, I know I told you that you were retired...!) earning more grand champion points, and an NOHS Sporting Group 3. Noodle hit the rally ring with a very nice quadruple QQQQ (Choice, Master, Excellent, and Advanced). Bacon also hit the rally ring a couple times, earning Q #1 and 2 in Rally Intermediate and Rally Advanced A. She also had some nice successes in the show ring, and is officially "singled out" as we now search for majors to finish her championship. Pizza finished up the summer session of AKC Agility League, helping earn her team 11th place in the country out of 70 teams.

The summer months have been busy ones! Dolphin hit a bunch of agility trials, earning more Double QQ's towards his MACH 2, and also has officially qualified for the 2027 National Agility Championship! Tulsa, here we come!

Bacon also had a busy couple of months, having some nice success at the conformation shows in pursuit of her championship. She earned lots of points, including a best of breed win over a special. Bacon also passed her Novice Fetch test (very easily!), earning her FTN title. She also received her "Puppy of Achievement" certificate from AKC for her show successes.

Noodle let me know that she did NOT want to retire from agility yet, so we headed to a trial in July where she had a beautiful double QQ. Pizza has also been busy with the AKC agility league, helping put her team into the top 10 in national standings.

After finishing second in the past 2 national specialty shows she attended, Noodle brought home the big prize this year, winning 2026 MOST VERSATILE WEIMARANER. She was also awarded Most Versatile Weimaraner Senior, Tri-Athlete, and High in Trial Agility Preferred. At almost 10 years old, she was one of the oldest dogs in the Most Versatile competition, proving that age is just a number!

After taking FOUR years off from the conformation ring to pursue other goals, Dolphin entered the ring at the 2026 Weimaraner Club of America National Specialty and won Select Dog (from the Field-Titled Dog class!) out of some very tough competition! We are so proud of him, being the only MACH dog and the only Master Hunter in the finals lineup. Dolphin was also awarded Best of Breed Owner-Handled at the National Specialty. He was awarded a Tri-Athlete Award for qualifying in 3 or more events, and finished second in the Most Versatile Weimaraner competition, just behind his bestie Noodle.

Puppy Bacon earned her Rally Novice title in just 3 shows. She entered the rally ring with all the enthusiasm and joy she has for everything in life. She wasn't perfect, but her happiness was infectious! She finished her title at the 2026 Weimaraner Cluf of America National Specialty, where she also took 2nd place in the 6-9 month puppy bitch class.

Noodle earned her RACH (Rally Championship)! She is a busy girl so we trial infrequently, but she got it done with style! Grand Champion in the show ring, Master Hunter Advanced, and a Rally Obedience Champion - she is beautiful, talented, and smart!

Dolphin earned his Rally Intermediate title after not having done rally in almost a year! He knocked out two qualifying scores two days ago, then finished his title today - three tries and three Q's.

Along with earning Double QQ #2 towards his MACH 2, Dolphin finished two big titles - his Triple Q Excellent (TQX) title (requiring 10 triple QQQ's), and his Master Fast Gold (MFG) title (requiring 75 Master Fast qualifying runs)!

Bacon attended her first "real" dog show and competed in the 6-9 month puppy class, where she won the class and then took winners bitch over mature competition, for her first point! She loved every minute in the show ring.

Dolphin earned his Master Agility Championship (MACH)! This title requires 750 points and 20 double QQ's. He has been on fire the past 6 months and knocked it out of the park this weekend with a beautiful double QQ to finish his championship. We are so incredibly proud of this amazing, versatile boy!

Noodle once again proves that age is just a number, winning Best of opposite at the GCWC specialty from the veteran's class! At age 9 1/2 she's still got it!

At her very first dog show at 4 months of age, Bacon wins the breed and takes a sporting group 1 in 4-6 month puppy!

Noodle earned Rally triple QQQ # 19 towards her RACH (Rally Championship)! She also earned her Rally Master 2 title today. Noodle only needs one more triple QQQ and around 35 master points to finish her championship.

Happy New Year! We started off the year with Bacon, who earned her very first title at 3 1/2 months old - Canine Good Citizen (CGC). We can't wait to see where this little girl is headed!

All dogs, all titles - 100% owner trained and owner handled! That's probably what I am most proud of. 6,324 miles traveled this year to dog events that we competed in. Incredible memories created with my best grey companions and some awesome human ones also!

December was a slower mnonth, spending some relaxing time with family. Dolphin and Noodle managed to hit an agility trial or two, and Dolphin earned a nice Quadruple QQQQ (Double QQ #16!) to finish out the year. Puppy Bacon came along as the cheering section.

November was a busy month for ATW! On the agility front, Dolphin had two trials and picked up two double QQs towards his MACH - QQ #14 and 15! Only 5 more to go for his Master Agility Championship.

Noodle earned two more Rally triple QQQ's towards her RACH (Rally Championship) - #17 and 18. She only needs two more triples plus some additional Master points to finish her championship. Noodle also picked up Master Hunter pass #37 towards her MH lifetime achievement award. Of all the sports, hunting is still her favorite!

Pizza had a great couple hunt tests in November, earning Master Hunter Advanced pass #4 and 5, finishing her Master Hunter Advanced title! She went 5 for 5 at hunt tests in the past year. This is Master Hunter pass #10 towards her lifetime achievement award.

Pizza went 5 straight master hunter advanced passes this year to finish her MHA title! She consistently scored high in all categories.

October was a great month for the Weim Trio! Noodle earned a Triple QQQ at a one-day agility trial. Dolphin was one Q short of a quadruple QQQQ at that same trial, but then came back a week later and earned a full Quadruple QQQQ on one day, and a Double QQ the second day towards his MACH (with many great class wins!). Noodle also earned her Master Bronze Agility Preferred title, and Dolphin earned his Tine 2 Beat 3 title. Though technically it was November 2nd, we will count Pizza's accolade in October as she earned wonderful scores of straight 9's in Master Hunter to earn her Master Hunter Advanced pass #4!

Noodle and Dolphin had a pretty darn good month of September! Dolphin had a fantastic weekend of agility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, earning a Quadruple QQQQ on one day, and had some other great qualifying runs on the weekend (inlcuding a nice Time 2 Beat WIN!). Noodle also trialed in Murfreesboro - her first trial in 6 months since she was sidelined for an injury, and she picked up three really nice standard Q's.

After not showing for over 3 years, Dolphin competed in a UKC conformation show, winning a Group 1 and a Reserve Best in Show! He says it's like riding a bicycle, you never really forget how :-)

Noodle returned from injured reserve to pick up two more triple QQQs towards her Rally Championship. This is QQQ #11 and 12. Although she hasn't done rally in almost 3 months, she didn't miss a beat!

Dolphin headed to an agility trial in Harrisonburg Virginia. After spending a day hiking Shenandoah National Park, he ran with great enthusiasm and had some wonderful runs.

Noodle won her Field-Titled Bitch class at the 2025 Weimaraner National Specialty. She had the honor of not only winning the class, but also being the highest-titled in the field of all 100+ entries at the national specialty.

At the 2025 Weimaraner National Specialty, Dolphin earned a 3rd and 4th place out of 17 in Rally Novice to finish his RN title.

Dolphin did his Novice and Intermediate FETCH tests at the WCA National Specialty, and nailed 14 perfect retrieves to earn his two FETCH titles. Nothing this boy likes better than to retrieve his bumper over and over and over again!

Dolphin earned his Master FAST Silver title at the Cleveland All-Breed Agility Trial this past weekend. The silver title means he has made 50 qualifying runs in Master FAST.

Noodle earned her Rally Master title today at the Greater Toledo Obedience Training Club rally trial. She also earned triple QQQ number 10 towards her RACH, with placements in all three classes.

For the third year in a row, Noodle qualified for the AKC Rally National Championships! This year we are not planning to attend, but it is an honor to be qualified.

Dolphin earned his Master Hunter title at the Tarheel Weimaraner Club AKC hunt test in Jackson Springs, NC. He did a great job, earning his title with 5 passes out of 7 attempts. His drive and his stylish, intense point are so much fun to watch!

Dolphin and Noodle had a perfect day at the agility trial! Dolphin earned a quadruple QQQQ with a first place in Standard, Tine 2 Beat, FAST, and a 2nd place in Jumpers. Noodle earned a Triple QQQ with a first place in Standard, FAST, and a 2nd in Jumpers. Dolphin also earned his Master Bronze Jumpers title, and Noodle earned her Master Preferred FAST title. It was a great day for everyone!

2024 was a heck of a year - some really high highs and some devastating lows, and a lot mixed up in between.

Noodle by far had the most stellar year. She moved to Preferred in agility at the start of the year, losing 17 double QQ's towards her MACH (heartbreak!). In the following 12 months she managed to rack up 11 new double QQ's towards her PACH, plus earning her MXP and MJP titles along the way. In Rally, she earned her RAE title, started competing in Master, and earned 8 triple QQQ's towards her RACH. She was also High Triple at the Weimaraner Club of America National Specialty, where she also earned her Tri-Athlete Award and was awarded Most Versatile Senior Weimaraner. Of course, we have to talk about her field career in 2024, which was the highlight of our year. Noodle earned a whopping 13 Master Hunter passes this year, bringing her total up to 35 MH passes. She also earned several Gun Dog placements at a handful of field trials that she competed in. And if that wasn't enough, she came out of retirement from the show ring briefly to win a specialty Best of Breed from the veteran class over 6 other bitch specials!

Dolphin's year was a year of major growth. He managed to earn 3 double QQ's and two triple QQQ's in agility, also finishing his Time 2 Beat 2 title. I entered him in one field trial just for kicks, and he managed to WIN an Open Gun Dog major! His field training really started progressing this year, and he earned 4 Master Hunter passes in the fall of 2024, only needing one more for his title. Dolphin also passed his Shooting Dog Excellent rating, earned a Novice Rally leg and earned a Tri-Athlete award at the WCA National Specialty. He trained Scent Work all year, but was only able to attend one trial due to our crazy schedules. He finished his Advanced Handler Discrimination title at this trial.

Pizza's year was full of ups and downs. The downs were two unsuccessful breedings that knocked her out of competition for half of 2024. She did manage a few field trial placements at the small handful of trials she was able to attend. We hit a couple hunt tests this fall after having nearly a full year off of tests, and she earned two more Master Hunter Advanced passes towards her MHA title. In agility, she got to attend a couple trials, finishing her Excellent Agility (AX) title. She also had some nice Q's at a couple UKI trials we attended this year. We are still hoping for some "Pizza rolls" coming this spring!

I had a wonderful year training dogs and judging hunt tests! I judged a whopping 22 tests/trials in 2024, in 5 different states, and loved every minute of it!

The biggest 'down' of 2024 was losing my beloved Pretzel. He was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2023, and we had it removed. In early 2024 the cancer came back in his lymph nodes and had spread to different parts of his body. Pretzel had a wonderful year getting to do all the things he loved and spending all of his days with me (supervising all of my work!). When his pain became too much to bear, we had to say goodbye to him on October 24th. There is a giant hole in our family without him, and it's still new each day when I wake up and he's not there to greet me. I am so thankful that I was able to have him in my life, and a big part of him lives on in his son Dolphin, who looks at me with those same eyes and that same expression.

2024 was an interesting year. 2025 will be even more interesting, so stay tuned!
